Memories are made of this! (I'm an absolute Dean Martin fan!)

What a lovely surprise. I'd been too negative. Had not expected such a quick response. Saw Samantha's face when I entered the site and checked with my iMac. It found this (first). I know there are other pictures. A drawing for example. Must search. And I was back, for a moment driving through the deserted streets of Green Valley, late at night, feeling absolutely satisfied. For a few hours, earlier that night, the Busby High School assembly hall had been absolutely filled with almost a hundred? children and a number of teachers. The kids in fancy dress. The noise of the music from records, or was it tapes? and the excited children never stopping. A few years earlier, in the town hall, of Mascot, where there had been the same scene, it bothered some colleagues that the children weren't quiet. Or listening in silence to announcements. But these were the years that my parents attended the dances and balls of the Dutch communities, in Sydney, Wollongong and Newcastle and those adults were never perfectly quiet when they were having a good time! It's strange but I can still picture myself drving through those streets, where it was suddenly so quiet and all that noise, excitement and fun was over. Loved it!
